It's been over two years since I've posted here and it's been roughly the same amount of time since I've drawn anything. That being said, I apparently can no longer draw in the same style, much less use the same methods to create art anymore. I have to start from scratch and learn about form, line, shadow, and all the other delightfully nit-picky concepts in art, which at one point, I knew and took that knowledge for granted.


Somehow, I can't help but think that this is some sort of karmic retribution.....

This is the summer that I'm going back to the artist pad, brush the dust off my pen nibs, and purchase more watercolors. When the summer initially started, I thought that I could at least have 5 illustrations finished and a short story manga created by the August 10th. However, since this new discovery of my lack of skills, I'll be lucky if I even get 3 illustrations inked and colored completely.
